Sideboard plans with Aura of Silence
- Enchantress vs. Artifacts, enchantments and Pernicious Deed. Tutorable interaction: Aura of Silence makes their artifacts and enchantments, Pernicious Deed included, cost two more, and both it and Seal of Cleansing can be sacrificed at instant speed to destroy an artifact or enchantment. Since September about four in ten lists also play one or two Aura of Silence in the main deck.
- Terrageddon vs. Stiflenought, Landstill and Stasis. In: Red Elemental Blast, Pyroblast and two Aura of Silence. Aura of Silence taxes Powder Keg and Tsabo's Web and destroys Back to Basics.
- Terrageddon vs. Sligh. In: two Pyroclasm, an Aura of Silence, Warmth and Zuran Orb.
- Terrageddon vs. Enchantress, Replenish, Oath of Druids and Aluren. Against Enchantress, in: two Aura of Silence, Ray of Revelation, the third Naturalize and three Pyroclasm for Argothian Enchantress and small animated enchantments; out: the four Swords to Plowshares, which have few targets there, and the three Call of the Herd, since Parallax Wave exiles tokens for good.
- Oath of Druids vs. Enchantment and artifact decks: Enchantress, Replenish, Stasis and MUD. Aura of Silence makes their artifacts and enchantments cost two more and sacrifices to destroy one.
- Deadguy Ale vs. Enchantress, Replenish, Oath of Druids, Stasis, MUD, Aluren and Pit Rack. Aura of Silence, in a third of them, taxes their artifacts and enchantments by two and sacrifices itself to destroy one.
- White Weenie vs. Enchantress and Replenish. Against Enchantress, in: both Aura of Silence, Scour, a Tormod's Crypt and the second Enlightened Tutor; out: Worship, Cursed Scroll, Glorious Anthem and two Tithe, which do little against a lock that prevents your damage. Against Replenish, in: both Aura of Silence, Scour and both Tormod's Crypt; out: the same five cards. Aura of Silence makes their enchantments cost two more and destroys one when you sacrifice it. Tormod's Crypt exiles their graveyard in response to Replenish, and Enlightened Tutor finds Aura of Silence or the Crypt.
- White Weenie vs. Oath of Druids. In: both Aura of Silence, Scour and both Reprisal. Scour on Oath of Druids exiles every Oath they own, Aura of Silence makes the Oaths still in their library cost four, and Reprisal kills Terravore at instant speed.
- White Weenie vs. Stasis, Aluren and Turbo Lands. In: both Aura of Silence and Scour. Scour exiles every Stasis, Aluren or Seismic Assault they own, and Aura of Silence makes Aluren cost six and Horn of Greed five.
- White Weenie vs. MUD. In: both Aura of Silence, both Reprisal and Absolute Law. Aura of Silence makes each of their artifacts cost two more and destroys Ensnaring Bridge, Winter Orb or Tangle Wire, Reprisal kills Masticore through its regeneration and Karn, Silver Golem, and Absolute Law stops the Pyroclasm almost every list brings after boarding.
- White Weenie vs. Terrageddon, UG Madness and Stiflenought. Against Stiflenought also bring both Aura of Silence for Glorious Anthem and Cursed Scroll: Dreadnought and Powder Keg then cost two more, and Aura of Silence destroys either.
- White Weenie vs. Mono Black, Zombies, Clerics, Deadguy Ale and The Rock. In: both Aura of Silence and Spiritual Focus. Aura of Silence makes Engineered Plague, Gloom, Dystopia, Pernicious Deed and Phyrexian Arena cost two more and destroys one, Spiritual Focus turns each card that Duress, Cabal Therapy or Ravenous Rats takes into 2 life and a new card, and Glorious Anthem stays to offset Engineered Plague.
- White Weenie vs. Pit Rack, Contamination and Fluctuator. Against Pit Rack, in: both Aura of Silence, Scour, Spiritual Focus and Gaea's Blessing; out: Worship, two Tithe and two Silver Knight. Spiritual Focus turns each card that Bottomless Pit, Duress or Funeral Charm makes you discard into 2 life and a new card, Scour exiles every Bottomless Pit, Aura of Silence destroys The Rack, and Gaea's Blessing shuffles three discarded cards back. Against Contamination, in: both Aura of Silence and Scour; out: Worship and two Tithe, which need white mana once Contamination is out. Aura of Silence makes Contamination cost five, so cast it first. Against Fluctuator, in: both Tormod's Crypt and both Aura of Silence; out: Glorious Anthem, Cursed Scroll and two Tithe.
- BW Control vs. Enchantress, Oath of Druids, Stasis, MUD and Aluren. Seal of Cleansing and Aura of Silence wait on the battlefield and destroy an artifact or enchantment when you sacrifice them, so they answer Solitary Confinement, Oath of Druids, Stasis, Winter Orb or Aluren at instant speed; Aura also makes their artifacts and enchantments cost two more.
- Rebels vs. Enchantress, Replenish, Oath of Druids, Stasis and MUD. Aura of Silence, in more than half of the sideboards, makes their artifact and enchantment spells cost two more and destroys one when you sacrifice it.
- Turbo Lands vs. Enchantress, Replenish and MUD. Aura of Silence makes their artifact and enchantment spells cost {2} more and destroys one when you sacrifice it.
