- Oath of Druids: Every spell costs {1} more for both players, so play Mox Diamond before it, and under your own Sphere Thermokarst and Winter's Grasp cost four. It still hurts the opponent more, since your manlands and the Terravore that Oath finds need no spell.
- MUD: Every spell costs one more, including alternative costs: Daze, Foil, Gush and Fireblast all cost one mana under Sphere. MUD suffers less: Welder's ability is not a spell, Tinker's payoff is never cast, and Mind Stone and Thran Dynamo usually leave you with more mana than the opponent.
