Premodern archetypes that play Songs of the Damned
- Fluctuator: One mana, an instant: add {B} for each creature card in your graveyard, counted when it resolves. Tormod's Crypt or Withered Wretch in response shrinks it, so deal with the Crypt first (Gilded Light gives you shroud against it). Its mana empties at the end of the phase, so cast it in the same main phase as the kill spell.
