Sideboard plans with Sacred Ground
- Enchantress vs. Wasteland and land destruction. Sacred Ground returns your lands to the battlefield when an opponent's spell or ability destroys them, so a Wasteland on Serra's Sanctum no longer costs you the land, unless they Stifle the trigger or remove Sacred Ground first.
- Tron vs. Land destruction: Terrageddon, Oath of Druids, Goblins, Gro-a-Tog, White Weenie and Landstill. Sacred Ground returns every land their spells or abilities destroy, Armageddon included.
- BW Control vs. Terrageddon, Oath of Druids and White Weenie. Sacred Ground returns a land to the battlefield whenever an opponent's spell or ability puts it into your graveyard: Armageddon, Wasteland, Thermokarst and Winter's Grasp all fail, and lands that come back do not grow Terravore.
- Turbo Lands vs. Terrageddon, Oath of Druids, Goblins, BW Control, Deadguy Ale and White Weenie. Sacred Ground returns every land that their spells or abilities put into your graveyard from the battlefield: Wasteland, Dust Bowl, Vindicate, Thermokarst and Armageddon all fail against it.
