At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player chooses target player who controls more creatures than they do and is their opponent. The first player may reveal cards from the top of their library until they reveal a creature card. If the first player does, that player puts that card onto the battlefield and all other cards revealed this way into their graveyard.

Premodern archetypes that play Oath of Druids
- Oath of Druids: Cast on turn two, or on turn one with Mox Diamond, it can put Terravore onto the battlefield in your next upkeep, and on average about eleven other cards go to your graveyard with it, roughly half of them lands. It only targets an opponent who controls more creatures than the player whose upkeep it is, which is why the deck runs almost none.
- Reanimator: In seven of ten sideboards since September, and in more than four of five of the five-color lists; the mono-black lists have no green mana for it. In each of your upkeeps in which the opponent controls more creatures than you, you may reveal cards until you reveal a creature card and put it onto the battlefield, so Tormod's Crypt and Phyrexian Furnace have nothing to exile. The first creature card can also be a Putrid Imp, and the other revealed cards go to your graveyard. Oath works for the opponent too: once you control more creatures, they get the trigger in their upkeep.
