Premodern archetypes that play Lord of the Undead
- Zombies: The engine. Other Zombies get +1/+1, so Carnophage and Sarcomancy tokens attack as 3/3s, and for two mana it returns a Zombie card from the graveyard to your hand: Cabal Therapy fodder, a killed Shepherd of Rot, or the same Gempalm Polluter to cycle again. Against removal-heavy decks the recursion is what wins the attrition war.
