Premodern archetypes that play Goblin Welder
- MUD: MUD's engine: its tap ability swaps an artifact a player controls for an artifact card in that same player's graveyard. Upgrade a used Mind Stone into Karn or Triskelion, swap a fading Tangle Wire for a fresh one from the graveyard, or swap a targeted artifact out in response to Disenchant, so Disenchant fizzles and you get an artifact back for the one you lose. It cannot activate the turn it enters and dies to almost anything; Cursed Totem and graveyard hate shut it off, and Stifle counters an activation.
