Premodern archetypes that play Forsaken City
- Stasis: A land that taps for any color but doesn't untap in your untap step. In your upkeep you may exile a card from your hand to untap it, so under Stasis it pays the upkeep every turn for one card, if you order the two upkeep triggers so the City untaps first. In most lists it is the only green source, for Root Maze and Gaea's Blessing, and in the blue-red build a red source next to Shivan Reef. It is also the land opponents most want to Wasteland.
