Premodern archetypes that play Decree of Justice
- Landstill: The finisher that cannot be answered: cycle it at the end of the opponent's turn and X Soldiers arrive without a spell being cast, uncounterable, with a card drawn on top. Hardcast Angels close slower games.
- Deadguy Ale: The mana sink and the sweeper answer. Cycled at the end of their turn after they tapped out, it makes soldiers with no sorcery-speed window to punish it. Weaker against Stiflenought, where Stifle can interact with the cycling trigger.
- Tron: The win condition in every list: cycled at instant speed for X soldiers, it cannot be countered by Mana Leak or Prohibit, so it converts mana into a board against control that has no answer.
